So I sent all the previous posts made back to “drafts” and will restore them in their respective sections when I’m done reconstructing the site.
Please look forward to our upcoming activities!
2009 was our inauguration year. Our goal was to promote the Japanese culture within the school and providing enthusiasts a platform to express their passion for the Japanese culture.
We had weekly meetings to share our experiences and knowledge about the Japanese culture through presentations as well as hands-on activities. We had also organized Japanese movie outings and regular karaoke gatherings at Japanese karaoke outlets.
On a school-wide basis, we held a presentation introducing Japanese festivals to the Junior High section of the school during International Friendship Day. Our club members were also actively involved in the preparation and setting up of the Asian Youth Games (AYG) 2009 Japanese cultural booth, which proved to be a significant success for our young club.
2010 will be the year we make our mark, both within the school and outside school. (Maybe we’ll go national…?) Look forward to a flurry of activities that will envelop the school and the country in the atmosphere of Japan!
… Before that though, the site’s revamp will be up (Year 4 Inauguration Day, here we come)!
